Companies have stepped up disinfection measures resulting in increased employment in the cleaning sector and higher salaries for cleaners. Cleaning work in the United States has always been among the most demanded professions. After the waves of a global pandemic, the need for cleaners has skyrocketed all over the world. Based on statistics, the number of vacancies is expected to grow by 6.3% in the next six years.

Expert strategies to secure a cleaning job locally 

Securing work could be challenging due to the competitive nature of the field. Yet, by implementing these strategies, you will be able to secure work in no time!  

  1. Get a certificate. If you have the time and resources to complete your training and get a cleaning certification. This will increase your chances of landing a cleaning job. Certified cleaning and disinfection specialists are especially in demand in medical institutions and large corporations.

  2. Advertise your own job search ads. Use local newspapers, online forums, and bulletin boards such as Craigslist. Describe your skills and experience, and add contact information. This method can attract the attention of potential employers who do not actively publish vacancies but need employees.

  3. Utilize social media. Platforms like LinkedIn and Facebook can be powerful tools for cleaning job search. Subscribe to groups and pages related to your professional field and actively participate in discussions. Vacancies are often published in local groups, and this is a great way to find work nearby.

  4. Sign up to recruitment agencies. There are many recruitment agencies that specialize in personnel for cleaning and cleaning. Contact several of these agencies to increase your chances of quick employment. They will help you find work that matches your skills and requirements.
